Davies joins the NHS having spent the past five years in a variety of agency posts, most recently as an account manager at Golley Slater, Newcastle. She also formerly worked at Yorkshire-based agency Brahm where she began her PR career.
Davies joins the seven strong comms team based in Newcastle.
She is responsible for raising the strategic health authority's profile with a variety of groups and individuals. As well as strategic and operational media relations, she will use her expertise to help develop awareness campaigns addressing some of the region's key health issues.
She will also take a lead role in developing the SHA's website and implementing a digital and social media strategy.
In her previous role she managed campaigns for clients in a variety of sectors including healthcare, property and professional services.
