16 August Unless you have been under a rock for the past three months, you will know there have been quite a few battles raging in the world of search. From new contenders (Bing/Wave), to new partnerships being forged in advertising, and the holy grail of real-time search actually looking attainable, it got me thinking about percentages.

15 August So, slagging your boss off on Facebook is a bit stupid, especially when he is a 'Facebook friend'. No surprises there. It didn't stop one girl, though, who it is generally agreed, deserved the ever-so-well worded dressing down and sacking from her boss (I'm expecting him to come out next and get loads of PR for his company).

16 August Last week a handful of women attended Girls in Tech's Journalism 2.0 Round-Table event moderated by Kara Swisher of All Things D. The panel of journalists included Techie Diva's Gina Hughes and ZDNet's Jennifer Leggio. Topics ranged from the evolution of citizen journalism to how women in tech can earn respect in a predominantly male-dominated industry. Answer: Be on top of your game at all times, don't let the doubters get to you and, if all else fails, resort to violence (Kara's strategy).
