ERT hires Scott Partnership.

ERT, the Philadelphia-based technology provider for clinical trials, has hired its first PR agency to roll out a global campaign. Cheshire-based The Scott Partnership will develop and manage a campaign for ERT aimed at increasing its worldwide visibility.

Carnegie Weight Management has called in Brahm to promote its residential and day camp weight-loss programmes for children. The PR campaign runs until Septembe and will focus on managing the sensitive subject of childhood obesity and helping to generate greater understanding of the issues among healthcare and childcare professionals.

Oasis Dental Care has appointed the Manchester office of Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster to handle PR for its 170 practices across England and Wales. The Bristol-based company plans to open another 30 practices this year.

The British Journal of Health Psychology has published a study that found patients can stop taking their medicine if the risks of possible side effects are not clearly communicated. Researchers questioned 285 visitors to Cancer Research UK's patient information website.
