Leeds United Football Club has signed its first PR manager by

poaching Liz Dimitrijevic from football sponsorship specialist

Ptarmigan.

Dimitrijevic will take up her role on 21 July, but is already familiar

with the club, both as a fan and an account manager at Ptarmigan for

Packard Bell, the club’s sponsors.

At Ptarmigan, Dimitrijevic also handled the Cellnet sponsorship account

at Middlesbrough Football Club, Leeds’ North Riding rivals.

She is joining Leeds at a time of expansion. The club, which is owned by

the Caspian group, will see its holding company soon start work on a new

sports, leisure and concert venue adjoining the ground.

The new venue will be the home of new league ice-hockey and basketball

teams, with the ice-hockey team being branded the Leeds Lasers.
