WASHINGTON DC: The head of Ketchum’s international operation, Jerry
Olszewski, is leaving Europe after eight years to return to the US. He
will continue to oversee the agency’s 11 Asian, European and Latin
American offices from there.
Olszewski has spent the past eight years working in Europe for Ketchum,
three years in Munich and then in London. He holds the agency’s most
senior post in Europe, Asia and Latin America, where the heads of
country offices report to him.
He leaves next month for Ketchum’s Washington DC office, where he began
his career 19 years ago. He will continue to report directly to
Ketchum’s New York-based president and chief operating officer Ray
Olszewski says his relocation is down to his family and the schooling of
One advantage of the move is that Olszewski will have less travelling to
meet with the other five members of Ketchum’s executive committee, which
meets monthly in New York.
’From a management point of view, an international job can be done from
anywhere in the world,’ said Olszewski.
Olszewski’s remit includes major international clients such as
pharmaceutical companies Astra Merck and Pharmacia and Upjohn, Federal
Express and market research firm AC Nielsen.
