Eastman Kodak has created a new role to run PR across Europe, the
Middle East and Africa (EMEA) within its health imaging division.
Health imaging mainly makes X-ray films and equipment. Kodak operates
the largest healthcare imaging business in the world and it is the
second largest division within the company. The communications and
business research manager will be responsible for appointing
business-to-business PR agencies to serve the division.
The division has no retained agencies. PR was previously handled by
local country marketing departments.
The manager will oversee a team of four. He or she will report to Jean
Marc Laigle, European marketing director of health imaging, and will
liaise closely with regional business heads, the worldwide health
imaging communication team and regional corporate communications
director Jon Chandler.
The post will oversee business research for the region, feeding
information about customers and the competition into the business.
Kodak last year acquired the health imaging business of data storage
company Imation, and is now developing digital applications for its
X-ray products as the health industry begins to adopt the
