Sultans of Swag, set up three years ago, puts together the goodie bags for high profile events including the Brit Awards, the Royal Variety Performance and the British Comedy Awards.

It is now launching a site that will host pictures of celebrities with various products, provide links to buy these products and offer giveaways to visitors.

So far, Foster Grant & Reebok have already put giveaways up on the site and Simon & Schuster and Dr Bronner's will do the same in September.

Co-founder Toula Mavridou-Messer said she was also hoping to do short interviews with celebrities on their best and worst presents in the run up to Christmas.

PROs can send in their pictures of celebrities with products or on their way to events and promote their clients on the site for free. If PROs want links to sales outlets added to the stories, they need to pay a small fee.

The site has been in construction for the last three weeks, but has already achieved 150,000 hits, with 1,100 unique users.

Mavridou-Messer said: ‘It just doesn’t seem appropriate to ask companies for thousands of pounds worth of free products during a recession. The aim was always to get pictures of celebrities with products in the press. So we have decided to offer a similar service online.’
