Buyout by trio at DTW

Public sector specialist DTW has gone through a management buyout in order to bring in 'the next generation'.

The buyout sees co-founder Robin Treacher depart, losing his 50 per cent share in the business. Co-founder and MD Pete Whelan remains but has had his 50 per cent stake halved.

The remaining 75 per cent has been shared equally between company directors Chris Taylor, Lorna McAteer-Bingham and Hayley Stewart.

Taylor said: 'It was an opportunity that was always open to the right people. It is the next generation of DTW.'

Treacher, a stalwart in public sector PR, remains a shareholder and director of DTW's sister agency Quantum PR.

Tees Valley-based DTW came 18th in this year's public sector league table. The agency has 16 employees.
