Coffee chain Muffin Break recruits Primal PR for comms drive

Muffin Break has called in Primal PR to position it as a high-quality coffee chain.

The Australian coffee shop chain has handed a six month retained brief to the agency. The two companies have worked together on a project basis in the past.
Muffin Break is about to launch its first UK Barista Competition. The aim is to find Muffin Break's best Barista who consistently serves great tasting coffee. Four regional finalists will be announced on 24 August and the final will take place on 10 September.
Primal PR will handle both regional and national press for the competition, which ultimately aims to increase awareness of its brand in the UK and link it to high quality coffee.
Primal will also manage media for its new store openings. There are currently 28 in the UK, but the franchisee operation is aiming to expand.
