Taylor Woodrow, the international construction, housing, property and trading group, has appointed Grandfield for strategic financial PR support.

Taylor Woodrow, the international construction, housing, property and

trading group, has appointed Grandfield for strategic financial PR

support.

The agency is believed to have won the business after a competitive

pitch against at least two other firms.

Grandfield will be providing consultancy advice to Matthew Moth, Taylor

Woodrow’s head of corporate communications, and to other senior

executives. The account will be headed by agency managing director

Charles Cook.

Taylor Woodrow faltered during the early 1990s due to the property

slump, board changes and restructuring. It is now seen to be recovering

although preliminary results, last week, showed a 9.5 per cent

reduction in pre-tax profits to pounds 46 million, despite a 17 per cent

rise in operating profits to pounds 53 million.
