Argyll PR has lost its account with computer hardware company Pyramid

Technology after three years to A Plus.

The firm, which provides enterprise servers for corporate clients

including Somerfield, Dixons, and Do It All, asked Argyll to repitch for

the account last month against A Plus but decided to appoint the rival

agency instead.

Although A Plus has not previously worked for Pyramid, it does have a

long standing relationship with Informix, which makes databases and

other information tools that run on Pyramid servers.

The agency has been briefed to position the company as a lead supplier

in the computer hardware market through a programme of media relations

and contacts with industry analysts.

‘They are moving into a new area of technology and that needs to be

explained,’ said A Plus director Jonathan Simnett. ‘It is also a

company that is improving after going through some bad times and there

is an interesting story to tell.’
