Cohn and Wolfe Healthcare has been hired to launch a new product which
decreases the side effects of skin disorder treatments.
The agency will handle the pre-marketing and launch of the drug delivery
system Crys-talip, invented by the pharmaceutical company Bioglan.
The product cuts down on allergic reactions caused by the preservatives
which exist in most skin treatments by embedding the drug between layers
of crystals. This results in the slow release of the active compound and
removes the need to add preservatives.
The campaign will kick off with an educational programme targeted at GPs
and dermatologists to teach them about the system’s role in treating
skin disorders.
C&W will then handle the launch of specific drug brands based on the
technology.
