Opinion: From our readers - Banks must tell their story more openly

Nick Miles is right that the media treatment of banks is a 'turkey shoot' (Opinion, 31 July).

Sadly, the banks have failed once again this week to ensure the media carry any decent explanatory narrative around the 'return to bumper bonuses'. So it has been open season once again, despite positive news about a return to high profitability.

Until banks start to realign the public mindset about the industry by telling their story with greater openness, the turkeys will have many more bullets to dodge.
