Golley Slater buys agency

Golley Slater has bought 12-strong consumer agency Margaret Street and appointed its founder as PR chief for the whole company.

Joyce Lorigan takes the newly created role of PR CEO. She will head Golley's national PR network of 11 UK offices, as well as the London branch.

Golley Slater CEO Chris Lovell said: 'We wanted to hire Joyce. The only way was to buy her business.'

Martin Long previously oversaw Golley's PR operation as group PR MD. He now reports to Lorigan.

Margaret Street's 12 consultants have moved into Golley Slater's offices and the agency will keep its name. Lorigan founded Margaret Street in 2008 after leaving her job as Disney's V-P, corporate comms.
