Intel, the computer chip manufacturer, is seeking a corporate PR
programmes manager to be based at its European headquarters in
Munich.
The position was previously held by Damien Callaghan who has moved to
Intel’s European marketing team.
The job involves overseeing Intel’s PR programmes across 18 European and
Middle East countries. Callaghan reported to Dianne Armer, Intel’s
director of PR who is also based in Munich.
Intel’s PR is undertaken on a project basis by a combination of in-house
teams and various agencies. Callaghan was responsible for outlining PR
strategies which were then implemented by local offices. Intel is
attempting to introduce a more consumer-focused approach to its PR
across Europe.
Intel’s PR in the UK is run by Gail Hall, who heads a team of four also
reporting to Armer. Agencies used by Intel have included DPA and
Paragon.
