Shandwick Consultants has replaced its long time marketing director
Jonathan Mason with Piers Marlow-Thomas as part of its drive for new
business.
Marlow-Thomas is a former group marketing director of Hill and Knowlton,
although he comes to Shandwick after a two-year stint as business
development director at law firm Richards Butler.
Mason, who has been responsible for marketing Shandwick’s Consultants
division since 1982, will leave the agency at the end of October,
although he will be retained on a consultancy basis.
’We are delighted that Jonathan has agreed to give us the benefit of his
many City and international contacts,’ said Shandwick Consultants chief
executive Colin Trusler.
Shandwick Consultants comprises three divisions - Financial, Public
Affairs, and Corporate. Mason was principally involved with financial
clients as most of his contacts are in banking and broking.
Trusler, who is managing director of Shandwick International in the UK,
is still looking for someone to become chief executive of Consultants, a
position he is filling himself temporarily.
