BORDER LINES: DARMSTADT - New role for Huber at Merck

German pharmaceutical company Merck has named Walter Huber as corporate communications chief. He replaces Reiner Welters who is retiring after 21 years in the job. Huber will have responsibility for public affairs, internal communications, press and corporate relations, and will oversee a 30-strong team at the comapny’s headquarter in Darmstadt. Merck is a separate company to the US pharmaceutical firm also called Merck.
