PARIS: Manning Selvage and Lee has won a competitive tender for a

new account to promote Historic Royal Palaces, a UK charitable trust, in

France.

The trust looks after buildings which include Hampton Court Palace and

the Kensington Palace state apartments.

MS&L will devise a one-year consumer campaign, including organising

press trips for French journalists and promoting events being held at

the palaces, like the new Dressing For Royalty costume exhibition at

Kensington Palace.

Leslie Asch, client services director at MS&L in Paris said: ’We want to

make these palaces come alive.’

Historic Royal Palaces also covers the Tower of London and Kew Palace,

which is closed until 2000 for restoration, and the Banqueting House on

Whitehall. In the UK, the trust employs Ann Scott Associates for its

travel PR and handles the rest of its PR activity in-house.
