Launched this year by Design for London, Great Spaces is intended to revamp and revitalise some of the capital's public spaces, including streets, squares, parks and riverside walks, to make London a more attractive place to live, work and visit.
London's boroughs have been invited by the LDA to submit ideas for projects that could be considered for a share of the £200,000 of funds available under the initiative.
The PR agency will have to develop a 'solid communications strategy' and generate media interest, particularly around the announcement of candidates and winners of the funding.
The LDA said: 'We have invited expressions of interest to see if the market can add any additional value to the work of the LDA and Design for London in the management and promotion of this innovative scheme.'
The agency said it would be evaluating the responses it had received from the boroughs 'over the next few weeks'.
