STOP PRESS: GCI picks up IT awareness work for DTI

Two Department of Trade and Industry campaigns, the Information Society Initiative Programme for Business and IT for All, have been merged and GCI Group has won the combined account. It pitched against Manning Selvage and Lee, Kinross and Render and Bell Pottinger for the business which carries an annual budget close to pounds 500,000. Kinross and Render previously handled PR for the Information Society programme, which aims to increase the use of IT among small businesses, and Bell Pottinger handled IT for All, which aims to build awareness of new technology among the general public.
