MEDIA: Kiss takes first TV steps in Live deal

Emap has taken its first steps into television broadcasting by setting up Kiss TV through its wholly-owned radio subsidiary Kiss 100 FM.

up Kiss TV through its wholly-owned radio subsidiary Kiss 100 FM.



Kiss TV has been set up in an independent production deal with Mirror

Group-owned national cable network Live TV to take advatange of the

popularity of dance music. The new station will provide Live TV with

four one-hour shows each week during its 12-month contract. The

programmes will be based on a mix of music, clubs and lifestyle material

and the first will go out on 30 May.



‘Since our early days as a pirate we have always had a vision to extend

Kiss 100 to TV and a nationwide audience. Kiss TV is an exciting

addition to the Kiss family along with Kiss 102 in Manchester,’ said

Gordon McNamee, executive producer at Kiss TV and marketing director at

Kiss 100 FM.
