Virgin Direct has dropped its ad agency Ammirati Puris Lintas and handed
the work to its PR agency Consolidated Communications.
Consolidated’s managing director Alastair Gornall confirmed that his
agency had won a TV and press advertising account worth pounds 6 million
to add to its existing public relations support for the Virgin Direct
‘It will be a PR-led campaign that will integrate all activity,’ said
Gornall. ‘It proves that PR does not have to be a junior partner to
Leading advertising creative Indra Sinha has been hired to work
alongside former Saatchi staffer and Consolidated director Henrietta
Pullan on a new TV campaign, designed to support the launch of further
Virgin Direct financial products.
Gornall added: ‘TV will play an ongoing role. We will be producing TV
commercials just like anyone else.’
