Pippa Evans has left GCI to become the head of Countrywide Porter
Novelli’s London consumer marketing group.
Evans, who was previously at The Rowland Company, joined GCI in a
part-time role last year as head of corporate and consumer PR with a
brief to win more FMCG business.
She joins Countrywide in a full-time role as replacement for Diane
VandenBurg, who was made Countrywide’s director of marketing earlier
this year. Evans’ appointment sees her return to board level - she was
on the Rowland board - as one of seven directors.
As head of the consumer marketing group, Evans will be in charge of a
25-strong team handling clients which include: McDonald’s, WH Smith and
At GCI, Evans did not head any defined team. Chief executive Adrian
Wheeler said: ’Pippa worked with a number of departments very
successfully, if she had stayed longer she would have amassed so much
work she would have had to have gone full-time here, but Countrywide is
a good opportunity for her.’
