H&C Furnishings, which was formed from the merger of Harveys and

Cantors last year, has recruited Dewe Rogerson to help develop its

relations with the City press and analysts.

Due to start work from 1 May, Dewe Rogerson displaces Rawlings Financial

PR in Leeds which previously handled PR for Sheffield-based Cantors.

Buchanan Communications and Bruns-wick were also shortlisted for the

account.

Dewe Rogerson has put a three-strong team on the account, led by

director Andy Cornelius, and will seek to raise the overall profile of

the company.

’They are not really clearly understood and they tend to get lumped with

MFI and others like them,’ said one agency source. ’The two businesses

are integrated but that isn’t perhaps as well known as it needs to

be.’

It is still unclear who the agency will report to on a day- to-day

basis, although it will initially work with managing director Robert

Templeman.
