Technology: Philips talks sex online

Philips has launched a social media offensive to promote its range of vibrating massagers.

A new website and Twitter feed have been developed to boost awareness of the 'intimate massagers', which launched in the UK last year (PRWeek, 19 September 2008).

The website - - features a survey of changing attitudes to sex and relationships in the UK, Spain, France, Benelux, Denmark and the Netherlands. The site's Twitter 'Love Cloud' features rolling coverage of Tweets about sex.

Consumer lifestyle global PR senior manager Hubert Grealish said Philips was creating 'social talking points'.
