Liz Matthews called in over models furore

Pixie Geldof, Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal's new model agency has turned to a PR agency to hit back at reports that the girls were dropped from their previous firm.

Next Model Management called in Liz Matthews PR last week following reports that Select Model Management axed the girls because they were partying excessively.

Next released a press statement to deny the 'totally false' allegations. It said the girls had decided to switch agencies of their own accord.

Liz Matthews PR, which already handles personal PR for Daisy Lowe, will now handle press requests and global campaigns for all of Next's models. It will also attempt to build the model agency's profile internationally.

Agency founder Liz Matthews said she would be trying to get 'key spokespeople from the agency to comment on fashion-related issues, thereby securing its place as an authority on model management'.

Next has been running for 20 years and has offices in London, New York, Milan and Paris. Its clients include Gucci, Prada, D&G, Chanel and Alexander McQueen.
