Seafish has appointed Glasgow-based agency 3x1 PR following a five-way pitch. The hire follows the announcement of Britain's support of a ban on the trade of bluefin tuna after a high-profile celebrity campaign.
'Part of the brief will include addressing issues such as the sale of bluefin tuna,' confirmed Seafish marketing communications executive Gaynyr Dickson.
'It will involve reputation management and promoting the message that the UK is one of the most responsible fishing industries.'
Seafish previously used The SPA Way to handle its PA and corporate activity - the agency unsuccessfully repitched.
