The body that represents the UK computer games industry has upped its PR game by hiring the heavyweight after formerly using Hertfordshire-based Barrington Harvey PR.
The brief is largely media relations-focused with a remit to make sure that the gaming industry is appropriately reported in the mainstream media. Two of the biggest issues that ELSPA is dealing with at the moment are piracy and tax breaks.
Burson director Philippe Pendaries is leading on the account, reporting to ELSPA head of comms Tim Wapshott.
Burson began working for ELSPA on 1 July.
