BORDER LINES: ARKANSAS: Tyson gives Golin/Harris wide brief

Tyson Foods, the world’s largest poultry company, has appointed Golin/Harris International on a wide brief with annual PR fees estimated to be in excess of pounds 1 million. Golin’s remit includes brand positioning, marketing communications, new product introductions, cause marketing and community and labour relations for the pounds 4 billion company. While the account will be handled out of Golin’s Chicago headquarters, the firm has assembled a 10-strong team which includes executives in Washington and New York. Tyson’s PR was previously handled by two in-house PROs who did not have enough resources to accomplish the breadth of objectives Tyson has asked Golin to handle, said Tyson vice-president of corporate marketing Bob Corscadden.
