BERLIN: The German Ministry of Business and Technology has drawn up
a shortlist of four PR agencies to promote the government’s energy
The list consists of Ahrens and Behrent, Kohtes and Klewes, MPC and
Odeon Zwo. A pitch was held on 16 August and a final decision on the
18-month, pounds 677,000 contract is expected in two weeks.
The brief includes responsibility for promoting three features of the
policy: making natural energy sources more popular, increasing energy
efficiency and saving energy.
Some observers believe a bias exists towards Odeon Zwo because of the
previous work it has done for Chancellor Gerhard Schroder, having
produced a TV campaign for him last year when he was involved in local

deflect fears of bias by pointing out that the final decision is made by
a panel of ten.
