HOW I SEE IT - Siobhan Kenny, Comms director, HarperCollins Publishers
Enough already Sarah Brown! Glastonbury with Naomi, Gay Pride, guest-editing Fabulous magazine, all that endless Tweeting. It's exhausting. We all know being the PM's wife is an impossible gig. Norma Major was criticised for being too homely, Cherie Blair for being too pushy. But PR guru Sarah has so far played a blinder - understated, compassionate, standing by her man, working tirelessly for her charities and looking after her kids. Now some desperate No 10 insider has decided she is the last remaining ace in the pack and has come up with a 'strategy'. The trouble is we shouldn't really know it is that, should we? So while I applaud the idea of bringing Sarah into play, the execution has been about as subtle as that big clunking fist a former PM once promised us.
