Inside and Outside merge to offer all round celebrity PR

Recently launched music promotions company, Inside Media Promotions, has formed a joint partnership with celebrity PR outfit The Outside Organisation.

Promotions, has formed a joint partnership with celebrity PR outfit The

Outside Organisation.



Inside represents Madness, Iggy Pop, Skunk Anansie and Billie while

Outside looks after David Beckham, Lenny Kravitz, David Bowie, Sir Elton

John, Aerosmith and the Spice Girls.



The two companies will offer music artists and marketing directors a

full service media strategy bringing together Outside’s press expertise

and Inside’s music and radio contacts. Both companies will work from the

same office, but there will be no joint ownership.



Tony Barker, director of Inside, said: ’Traditionally there have always

been two distinct groups for promotions: TV and radio, and press. We

want to bring the two together.’



The combined operation is also planning to bring in corporate clients

and wants to attract more footballers too.



The alliance has been rumoured for several months within the music

industry, since Tony Barker and Mick Garbutt, former heads of promotion

at Virgin Records, revealed their intention to set up Inside. However,

it was not confirmed until this week.



Barker and Garbutt headed in-house promotions at Virgin Records for

eight years.
