Owner Whitbread has appointed Mandate Communications for the public affairs drive.
With government spending increasingly coming under the spotlight, the agency's brief is to promote the use of quality budget hotels among civil servants and to drive sales among public sector audiences.
In the wake of the expenses scandal, the campaign will also entail promoting the use of quality budget hotels to MPs as an alternative to expensive second homes.
Mandate public affairs MD Fiona Mason said: ‘Whitbread has set us an interesting, and clearly very topical, brief.  We think that at this time of squeezed public finances Whitbread's cost-cutting message is a very compelling one, and we are confident we will deliver results that clearly benefit the bottom-line.'
