TTK selected the agency following a six-way pitch. Fleishman will service the business out its London and Hong Kong offices, with additional project work assigned to European and Asia-Pacific markets.
TTK operates one of the largest fibre-optic communication networks in Russia, the ‘EurasiaHighway' that it claims is the shortest and fastest data route between Europe and the Far East.
Fleishman-Hillard will promote TTK's new brand and offering in the international arena, where the telecoms provider is aggressively expanding. A major part of this strategy will be to build on one of TTK's most important projects to date: the Beijing Olympics. In the three months surrounding the event, TTK was responsible for streaming TV signal live from the games to one billion people in Europe Broadcasting Area - nearly a quarter of the global audience. The company is hoping to improve on this performance at London 2012.
‘We understand that our international efforts require support,' said TTK head of PR Arkady Matkovsky. ‘We have high hopes for Fleishman-Hillard and their tech practice team and expect they will build up our profile in international media.'
Lucien Vallun, managing director, Fleishman-Hillard London said: ‘Investments in telecommunications have been touted by governments worldwide as an important economic stimulus, and we are thrilled to be on board with TTK as its future gathers pace.’
