BORDER LINES: HONG KONG: Third finance MD quits Edelman

Edelman PR Worldwide financial practice managing director for Asia-Pacific Mike Wong has joined rival Shandwick. Wong joined Edelman in March 1998 from Forrest International to head its financial practice. He reported directly to Alistair Monteith-Hodge, managing director of the Hong Kong office. At Shandwick, Wong takes up the position of director of financial practice, reporting to Emma Smith, managing director of Shandwick Hong Kong. Smith is a former colleague of Wong’s from Forrest International. Wong is the third senior financial employee to leave Edelman in recent weeks, following the departures of Carol Ruth from the New York office and Andrew Dewar from the Paris office. (Profile, p24).
