PUBLIC SECTOR: Mortlock strengthens CSV communications

Roger Mortlock, new director of public affairs at Community Service Volunteers (CSV), is bringing in Murray Benham to head press and information as part of a plan to rebuild the charity’s communications. Benham joins CSV having worked freelance for bodies including Breakthrough Breast Cancer, and will oversee a team of four press officers, replacing Marie Ennis, who has moved to the Terrence Higgins Trust (PR Week, 23 July). Mortlock also intends to strengthen the fund-raising and campaigns teams, increasing the number in his department from seven to 15. His plans include a rebranding of the charity.
