PUBLIC SECTOR: RSPB fills media head role with Harbard

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds has appointed Chris Harbard as the charity’s new media head, filling the role left vacant by Blake Lee-Harwood, who is moving to head PR at Greenpeace in early August (PR Week, 11 June). Harbard will report to head of PR Jane Heeney and oversee a team of seven. His brief will be to push the charity’s drive towards a more proactive PR strategy and continue its work alongside organisations such as Friends of the Earth on issues such as climate change.
