GCI gains affiliate in corporate specialist Pettifor Morrow

GCI UK has signed a strategic alliance with corporate communications specialist Pettifor Morrow.

GCI UK has signed a strategic alliance with corporate

communications specialist Pettifor Morrow.

The alliance is part of GCI’s attempts to build its strategic consulting

business. Pettifor Morrow is a ten-strong UK agency specialising in

issue management for clients including the UK Atomic Energy Authority,

General Electric Plastics and tobacco manufacturer Rothmans.

’This affiliation means Pettifor Morrow will work exclusively with us

and we shall refer business to each other. Pettifor Morrow is now part

of the GCI family, but there is no acquisition,’ said Adrian Wheeler,

managing director of GCI UK.

GCI already handles issue management for some clients, including the

British Toy Industry, nuclear generation business Westinghouse and

pharmaceutical giant Novartis.

The agreement with Pettifor Morrow will strengthen GCI’s recently

launched corporate consulting business. The corporate business aims to

employ and work with people who have specialist knowledge of particular

sectors.

In May, Liam Fitzpatrick joined GCI from change management consultancy

People in Business. (PR Week, May 14)

For Pettifor Morrow, the deal brings the advantages of access to GCI’s

global network should clients require a service on a European or global

scale.
