Caroline Cecil, founder of Caroline Cecil Associates, is to become the new chair of the CIPR's Corporate & Financial Group. She replaces Mani Pillai, head of group media UK at Zurich Financial Services.
Castlestone Management, the New York and London-based asset management firm, has appointed Andrew Skeen as head of PR and comms. Based in London, Skeen will focus on raising Castlestone Management's global profile, as well as driving awareness of its international fund line, which ranges from commodities and specialist hedge funds to art, with a focus on real assets.
Petersfield Asset Management, the vehicle created by City 'superwoman' Nicola Horlick to take over Bramdean Alternatives, has been working with M: Communications on a project basis to support the potential takeover deal. Horlick was recently ousted from the board of Bramdean and the company pulled out of takeover talks with her. The Petersfield bid has subsequently gone hostile. M: co-founder Nick Miles is leading the agency's involvement.
LSL Corporate Client Department, a residential property portfolio manager, has drafted in the Wriglesworth Consultancy to head a new promotional campaign. The agency will look to build its profile among residential landlords as a property portfolio manager able to provide a mixture of services, including sales disposal, asset management and LPA (Law of Property Act) receiver solutions. Wriglesworth has an ongoing relationship with Your Move, an LSL subsidiary brand.
AlphaValue, the Paris-based independent European research firm, has selected Citigate Dewe Rogerson to promote its services in the UK. The agency will launch AlphaValue into the UK marketplace and work to raise its brand profile. AlphaValue offers independent research on about 500 European large corporates.
New Century Media has recruited Ashleigh Lezard as an account director. Previously, Lezard was at Capital MS&L. Reporting to agency MD Charlie Methven, Lezard will manage New Century's clean tech and environmental clients.
