British Embassy offers PR service in Spain

The British Embassy in Madrid is offering a new PR service to UK firms looking to break into the Spanish market.

UK trade and investment staff within the embassy's comms team are targeting UK companies looking to trade with Spanish firms, enabling them to cut PR costs.

The embassy is offering a fixed-rate service of a maximum £2,000 for press release translation, targeted distribution and selling in, plus advice on trade media. Further PR services will also be available.

The team is offering the services based on its bilingual Spanish skills and in-depth knowledge of Spanish print and digital media.

British Embassy UK PR officer Susana Ruiz said: 'We have introduced the service to help companies promote their services overseas. The UK Government is making an effort to encourage British companies to trade in Spain and we are reinforcing this with the new publicity service.'

The embassy said sectors that were likely to be receptive to UK firms included wind energy, business services, food, telecoms and technology.
