The agency was given the work following a three-way pitch and will start an initial six-month UK consumer campaign immediately ahead of more activity in 2010.
Johnny Pitt, CEO of Launch Group, who will lead a team of seven on the account, said: 'Our communications challenge centres around making Zurich Connect more contemporary, more current and more accessible than perhaps it has been viewed before.'
The campaign will involve a mix of media relations, experiential and social media across the UK. The agency will look to promote the motor insurance brand in a quirky and contemporary way, with the specifics of the campaign currently being finalised.
Zurich Connect is the European direct insurance operation from Zurich. The new brand - launched in Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the UK - provides motor and home insurance directly through the internet and over the phone.
