M&S' political nous pays off

Mark & Spencer is the top-rated brand within the corridors of power, according to an exclusive poll of Westminster opinion formers.

The retailer heads the first Reputation Index by PRWeek and PoliticsHome. Google ranks second, with a better rating than Cancer Research and Amnesty International.

Some 100 political opinion-formers including shadow home secretary Chris Grayling and Sky News political editor Adam Boulton were polled for the index, which will be updated every quarter.

RBS, British American Tobacco, BAA and Burger King were judged to have the worst reputations in Westminster.
