Tim Allan’s agency has signed up Mencap parliamentary officer Ruth Ferrer-Lengton as senior account manager.

Before Mencap, she worked as an aide to Tory front benchers Iain Duncan Smith, Nick Gibb and Tim Loughton.

At the same time, the agency is losing account manager Tara Singh, who has worked for the Policy Exchange think tank and as an environmental adviser to the Conservative shadow cabinet. Singh is joining Centrica as public affairs manager.

The news comes days after PRWeek revealed that Hanover Communications is to lose top Tory consultant Robert Sullivan to the FA.
