The PR campaign aims to significantly reduce teenage conception rates in East Sussex to help achieve the Council's target of a 50 per cent reduction in under-18 conceptions. It also aims to increase Chlamydia screening to 25 per cent in 2009 and 2010.
‘Effectively educating young people about safer sex is a priority for us,' said East Sussex County Council joint commissioner Trudy Mills. ‘We know from the UK youth parliament report that across East Sussex young people are still saying that they are not hearing the messages around safe sex and are unsure where to go to access the relevant services.'
90Ten has been commissioned to help develop and brand a media campaign to support the Council's work on teenage pregnancy.
