Voluntary Sector: Search for progeria kids

The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF) has called in PR support to help with its quest to find 150 people with the rare and fatal condition.

Progeria is a genetic condition characterised by accelerated ageing in children. There are 52 known children with progeria in 29 countries around the world. However, PRF believes there are about 150 additional unidentified children with the condition.

The organisation has called in healthcare comms network GlobalHealthPR to launch its global awareness campaign, 'Find the Other 150'.

The campaign, which kicks off this summer in the Americas, Europe, Russia, Asia and Africa, will drive the search for unidentified children with progeria worldwide.

It will aim to raise awareness of the disease among both the general public and global medical communities.

GlobalHealthPR is represented in the UK by healthcare shop Aurora.
