National Lottery Promotions Unit appoints Blue Rubicon

The National Lottery Promotions Unit (NLPU) has selected Blue Rubicon to deliver a campaign celebrating 15 years of money raised for National Lottery Good Causes.

The appointment follows a competitive pitch managed by the Central Office of Information.

Blue Rubicon’s campaign will centre on the anniversary in November, thanking members of the Lottery-playing public.

Blue Rubicon will recruit a high profile celebrity name to back the campaign, and will partner the NLPU to work closely with Lottery funded projects.

The initiative will make a link between the diverse projects in every corner of the UK that have benefited from Lottery funding and the Lottery players themselves.

Blue Rubicon senior consultant Lotte Jones said: ‘The celebrity name we agree to work with will be creating something completely fresh that will get people talking.’

With players raising £25 million each week, the total has exceeded £23 billion since The National Lottery began in 1994.

Blue Rubicon will report in to NLPU director Lisa Quinn.
