Following a four-way competitive pitch, Flagship has won the account to work for the tourism consortium for the city of Winchester and the surrounding district.
Flagship will target domestic tourists, focusing on generating overnight domestic visitors, using a press trip programme and focusing on Winchester’s festival line-up.
Areas that will be highlighted throughout the campaign including Winchester’s history, cultural and artistic background, food and drink, activities and the surrounding countryside including the recently designated South Downs National Park.
The account will be led by Flagship Consulting South West regional director Sophy Norris.
‘Winchester is well positioned to make the most of the staycation market,’ said Norris.
