21 May OK, it may not be a commercially attractive proposition, but the talk of Google wanting to own a print newspaper made me wonder what it would be like if it ran The Independent. The inherent agnostic stance of The Independent brand is extended in new directions with GoogleIndependent news search service. Fail.

21 May Saw a great story on the BBC today. Sales of a truly horrendous T-shirt that would best be described as 'trailer park chic' have gone through the roof following a series of ironic, tongue-in-cheek and downright savage reviews appeared online. The cult of the 'Three Wolf Moon' T-shirt, which you'll note pretty much does what it says on the tin, is growing and the item is selling like hot cakes on a cold day over on Amazon after a number of the reviews went viral.

21 May At 200 million users Facebook isn't short of a registered user base, but it decided to make things even easier with the adoption of the OpenID service as a sign-on. OpenID allows your sign-on identity to be managed by a service that you trust. From a practical point of view it means you do not have to juggle lots of online user names and passwords across different services.
