Edelman has worked with Northern Ireland's economic development agency for more than two years to promote inward investment in the region. The agency will build a positive profile for the business community, highlighting its strong skills base, innovation and infrastructure.

Fortis Insurance UK has appointed Lucy Pope as consumer communications manager. She will oversee all consumer media relations and publicity activities for Fortis' consumer-focused brands. She joins Fortis from insurance firm LV=, where she held a variety of communication and marketing roles, most recently as media relations manager.

Automotive PR has become the first PR agency to be approved for membership of the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership. The LowCVP is the leading action and advisory group working to accelerate the shift to low carbon vehicles and fuels in the UK and to assist firms in maximising the opportunities that this shift presents.

Abbeycrest, a jewellery design and manufacturing company, has brought in Abchurch Communications on a financial and corporate comms brief. Sarah hollins, managing director, who heads up the Abchurch Northern office, will lead the account.

GAM, the fund manager, has appointed Tulchan Communications as its retained UK financial communications agency. The Tulchan team will be led by consultant andrew honnor, reporting to Anne Gilding, head of public relations and internal communications.

The PBN Company has been named Small Business of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham). The strategic communications firm has operated in Russia for 19 years.

Yoo Capital has appointed The Wriglesworth Consultancy on a project basis to launch new division, Green Shoots. The division will seek to buy distressed new-build housing schemes from developers across the UK and revamp them before letting or selling the homes. Green Shoots will target developments in prominent locations.
