James Helm joins in July from his own consultancy Helm Media, and will report directly into COI director of news and PR Neil Martinson.

Helm has worked as a reporter, producer and presenter on Today on Radio 4, Radio 5 Live, BBC World and the BBC World Service. He has also acted as a consultant to PR agency Blue Rubicon.

This newly-created role follows last year’s integration of COI's news and public relations teams. Helm will take responsibility for COI's regional news and PR teams located across the UK, as well as provide high-level PR advice on campaigns.
